A Little Bit About the Photographer

I have always been passionate about photography, starting when I was a kid using my first Polaroid to take pictures of nature, our family horses and whatever else caught my eye (I must admit those aren't the greatest picture, lol). Now as an adult with three kids, I want to capture every moment of life with them, memorializing each aspect of them, so they have a visual memory to look back on and reminisce. My M&M babies are the reason I became more passionate about photography over the years, so wanting to turn this passion into a career and learn the technical side of photography, I decided to go back to school for it.  I am now a graduate of The Art Institute with an Associate’s Degree in Digital Photography.

As a portrait photographer, I am dedicated to serving my community and surrounding areas with various types of portraits. I mostly do individual, family, and children sessions, but I also do maternity portraits, naturally posed newborn portraits, high school and college senior portraits, and pet portraits. I am also open to trying other types of sessions. I have done a few boudoir sessions and found that I like doing those. If you have an idea for a session, don’t hesitate to contact me and tell me your idea, we can discuss if it’s possible.

My Mission Statement:

“Serren Bouska Hollingsworth Photography focuses on image excellence and providing incredible customer service. I will go above and beyond for my clients to make sure they feel their time is valued and that they receive timeless portraits of their family memories to have for generations to come.”

My Vision Statement:

“I know how important it is to be able to share memorable moments of your family story with loved ones and friends. My vision is to work with my clients to create portraits capturing timeless moments that can be treasured and handed down through generations.”

My Values Statement:

My belief is that a good photographer isn’t just someone that comes and snaps pictures of people, but that they are someone that gets to know each individual involved and becomes family when they are allowed to share in their clients’ special moment, and I strive to always treat my clients as such. With each client, I strive to incorporate these 5 core values into each session:

Respect: To respect all families and honor each person individually, while speaking kindly and making each individual’s needs important.

Excellence: To provide exceptional customer service and quality work, while creating beautiful, timeless images for each client.

Flexibility: Taking the time to listen to what my clients want and being flexible to incorporating their specific needs is part of creating the perfect session for my clients. I am not there to simply take a picture, but to tell a story with portraits.

Patience: Having young children of my own, I know that capturing that perfect portrait can be trying. The key to photographing children is to be patient and adapt the session to their individual personality, whether they are shy or outgoing. Giving them the time they need (shy children) and being patient (outgoing children) will help make the photo session go a lot smoother. I want to make each session fun and full of smiles.

Artistic: After knowing what each client has in mind, I will use my artistic style to create the best portraits that capture their individual style/personality intertwined with my photographic style.
